Lisa Schwabe

              2nd Soprano

Lisa is a singer, arranger and saxophonist, originally from New Zealand where she studied music performance at Wellington Polytechnic and toured NZ with various local and international musicians.

After moving to Melbourne, Lisa became  involved in community singing, experiencing its positive effect on participants; she is a firm believer in music-making being accessible to everyone.

Over the last 16 years Lisa has been focusing on voice; in particular, directing, singing with, and arranging for a Capella vocal ensembles, indulging her passion for vocal harmonies.

Lisa has led a number of community and workplace choirs, run singing workshops, and performed everywhere from Chapel Off Chapel, to St Paul's Cathedral, to the local school fete. She currently teaches music in the performing arts program at Melbourne Polytechnic [Previously NMIT] and considers herself lucky to be working and teaching in an area that she's passionate about.
