Lisa Upson

Lisa started singing as a university student in Queensland, with a vocal jazz ensemble called Scat!. Her mentor and musical director, Harlie Axford, instilled in Lisa a love of jazz and harmonies, which she still cherishes to this day. Scat! took her to many places around Australia and the world with some of the highlights including singing at Expo 88 in Brisbane, Expo 86 in Vancouver, Disneyland in L.A., The Sydney Opera House and many concerts at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex.
After moving to San Diego for love in 1990, Lisa continued her passion for harmonies with an a Capella group, Jazz Connections, performing until she and her husband started a family.
Moving back to Australia in 1998, Lisa met Mark Rigoni, a fine jazz guitarist, and their duo, Another Season began. They enjoyed many years of creating beautiful Latin and jazz music together, making an album which they launched at Dizzy's Jazz Club in Richmond.
Lisa joined The Vocal Agents in 2013 and has enjoyed helping to make their unique sound.
When not on stage singing, Lisa is on stage acting. She enjoys an ongoing commitment to community theatre.
